Human Will

What a wonderful couple of weeks of sporting success we have just enjoyed. Firstly the Lions overcome the odds, history and public opinion to win the third test and consequently the series against the much fancied Wallabies, then Andy Murray rolls up on Sunday to break the seventy plus year hoodoo that has lasted since Fred Perry won Wimbledon!

One was a team effort where the fifteen on the park plus the substitutes worked together, supported each other – quite literally put their bodies on the line, to win. The other showed how an individual who is single minded, focussed, dedicated and determined, can set a goal as a child and through sheer will, drive himself to greatness.

Look at how much these victories have not only cheered the participants, but literally tens of millions who watched and willed them on. Never underestimate the power of Human will – just admire the fortitude and inner strength that is needed to succeed.
