Being a celebrant is one of the most amazing things I have ever done. To be there, holding hands with people, at the saddest and the happiest moments is an enormous privilege.
It has been challenging in the best way to try and celebrate someone’s life at their funeral ceremony. It means so much to spend time with their family and friends and try to reflect the person’s life in the way that means most to those who knew them.
Naming and Welcoming ceremonies are great fun. Whether the little one is a new wee one or a bit older or even being adopted into the family, it means the world to join with their circle of love and offer a special welcome and naming. We are all different – and all the same. We have a life that is worth more than words can say.
Marriage – well, what can I say? Love is love is love is all. At last whoever loves each other in Scotland can marry. And every couple is different in how they want to express that. I love to travel throughout Scotland to conduct wedding ceremonies – your way!
